This Bi – Annual event is held each February and November at the site of the Spa Resort Casino in downtown Palm Springs. Now in its 25th year Keith McCormick’s Exotic Car auction is a staple on the exotic car circuit and one of the leading attractions.

Beginning on Friday morning, this is a three – day event that stretches out over the course of a weekend. The opening on Friday is set aside for vendor and bidder check. The auction on Friday starts at around 3:00 p.m. Over 100 vehicles are auctioned the first day. There is also free admission to the general public and hosted food to all registered bidders. Opening day is also a great opportunity to walk the event a scope out and possibly test drive that special car .

The auction has everything from 60′s muscle cars to old gangster automobiles of the 20′s. If you are into exotics, there are Rolls Royce’s, Ferrari’s and Lambrogini’s. The vehicles are sold with and without “reserve.” This means that the owner has placed a minimum bid on the car. Of course, the best deals are those without reserve so there is no minimum bid.

Gates open on Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 a.m. so that bidders can walk the grounds and take notes on the cars that they want to bod on. The actual bidding begins with the first vehicle crossing the block at 10:00 a.m. Over 25o vehicles with roll out on Saturday with over another 200 on Sunday. General admission on these two days is $10 per day or $15 for a two day admission pass.

There is definitely something for everyone at the Palm Spring Exotic Car Auction. Considering the variety of makes and models that are up for auction it is a great couple of days for the car buff.

If you are a seller the cost of the event is $300.00, plus the commission that the auction house receives on the sale. This covers the entire three – day event.

Prime time lots are generally reserved for higher end vehicles only and reservations are recommended. If you are a seller, it is always wise to book a spot as quickly as possible in order to get the best placement for your vehicle.
