Mitsubishi Evolution Models are among the few models that pass pre production test as well as standard safety test. Not only did they pass but they Pass with very High scores. After the Mitsubishi Evolution 9 blazed the auto shows in Tokyo, It Hit the U.S. about a Year later.
After years passing, Enthusiast and Experts find the the Evo X has shown superior performance. Yes it is a bit heavier, and wider in the body but it doesnt seam to be slowing it down any bit. Now Stock the Evo 9 can actually put more power under the wheels, But it doesn’t win any beauty contest. The Evo X is more sleeker in design and better balanced for racers and daily drivers.
I rode in the Evo X and it does seem to ride on air. It’s a much better ride then the bumping of the older model. The Turbo is a much as 405 whp right now which is reported to be better then the earlier models. Mitsubishi also released 3 of it’s cars in the Evolution series like the Grand Sport Rally, The Special Edition, and the Mitsubishi Racing. The are a few differences to these cars but it’ not really important because you can tune anyone to your own liking. These options are for people who do not plan on adding anything else and want it as custom to there desire as possible.
Newest to date, the 2009 model MR Touring Evo X introduced new age features including GPS navigation, in dash DVD player and 6 speed transmission. Plus you get to six months subscription prepaid to Sirius Satellite radio for the Rockford Fosgate 2010 maximum performance sound system. With increased features like these, sign me up.
I wish I could live in Japan for a while and drive the Evo X as my car. But that just a dream of mine, and a dream of yours is driving the Evo down your street this weekend. if I were to suggest to you a Car to go with I would say go with the Evo X. You can put your family and friends in this car for a trip to Six Flags, or you can put a sticker on the side windows and take it to the track.
