The Beauty Of The Aston Martin

The Aston Martin Vanquish, upon its initial release in 2001, could be considered to have a great design. It was very popular even during its first edition. Because of its sleek design characterized by its xenon headlights and front grille together with the side strakes and wheel arches, this car appealed to many customers. However, it had some problems in its performance. These flaws also made the vehicle often compared to other models.

When one takes a closer look at the magnificent interior and the exterior of the car, the care and hard work in constructing the car is apparent. Some had suspicions about the engine of Aston Martin. There were others who believed that the engine was made by Ford. They thought that the three liter engines of 2 Ford Duratec were combined.

It turned out to be wrong, even though there were certain parts of the engine that were put into use. The Duratec and the 460 brake horse power, 5.0 L V12 engine were different from each other. Vanquish’ first models were troubled by problems. The main worries were the vehicle handling and the paddle shift manual gearbox. The gearbox of the Vanquish was compared to the perfect movement of Ferrari’s gearbox. Under original situations, the functioning of the Vanquish was all right.

The problem was the gearbox malfunctioned when the vehicle was forced. In 2007, when the Ultimate Edition Vanquished was produced, it was only then that Aston Martin started working on the problem regarding the gearbox. The gearbox problem of the forty cars was fixed. Because of the company’s delight with the new conventional manual stick shift gearbox, they were of a mind to install those into the earlier versions of Vanquish.

Despite all these issues, Vanquish still had loyal followers. Aston Martin cars could still be seen anywhere. They can be recognized with the typical Aston Martin features. These are the extended bonnet, the front grille, and the xenon headlights. An Aston Martin’s wheel arches can be seen visibly protruding and these vehicles have side strakes.

One more endeavor to bring down the dislike of many is the 2005 Vanquish S. It has the ability to reach 240 miles per hour, has 520 horse power, and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.7 seconds. Instead of an extra component, all the models of the S series has “Sports Dynamic Pack”. The pack is made to enhance the functioning of the vehicle’s braking, maneuverability, and steering.

In 2007, a decision was made to totally stop the manufacture and production of the Aston Martin Vanquish. Aston Martin replaced Vanquish with the DBS, which was modeled after the modern and well-received DB9.

Even so, it is improbable that Aston Martin would be able to make again the hand-crafted astonishing but imperfect Vanquish, as the manufacture is now in Gayden in Warwickshire, UK.
