The Aston Martin Vanquish, upon its initial release in 2001, could be considered to have a great design. It was very popular even during its first edition. The problem was the gearbox malfunctioned when the vehicle was forced. In 2007, when the Ultimate Edition Vanquished was produced, it was only then that Aston Martin started working on the problem regarding the gearbox. The gearbox problem of the forty cars was fixed. In 2007, a decision was made to totally stop the manufacture and production of the Aston Martin Vanquish. Aston Martin replaced Vanquish with the DBS, which was modeled after the modern and well-received DB9.

Even so, it is improbable that Aston Martin would be able to make again the hand-crafted astonishing but imperfect Vanquish, as the manufacture is now in Gayden in Warwickshire, UK.
