    That depends on the driving experience you are seeking. There is pleasure to be had in driving a peaky, low-torque car such as a Honda S2000 because it requires high revs and some gear-changing skill to make it accelerate as well as possible. This can be exhilarating but usually involves quite a bit of speed which can be risky.

    Even so, my personal preference is for a lot of low-rev torque such as that found in the Kompressor AMGs. The irrepressibly instant go-factor of a high torque car is very fun. 0-30 in a second or two will put a big grin on my face.

    YES, sports cars should have plenty of torque and horsepower…
