I saw a black Impala SS back in 1996 and since that time I could not stop thinking about it. I knew that one day I would have to own an Impala. My dream came true about a few weeks ago.

After a few months I finally managed to scrape enough money together to get my own sporty Impala SS. The color is Dark Green with Gray Metallica all over it and it only has about 69k miles on it. The dealership I bought it from was about 80 miles away but boy was the trip worth it.

Each things I have mentioned can be put into a review of its own. The power, the body, the drive can all be in their own respective reviews. I won’t be doing this because it does not prove anything.

The car is amazing to have, every time I open the door and step in for a drive I get this awesome feeling. The auto body of the Impala is also no joke, it really gets my adrenaline pumping because it packs some serious horsepower.

I can talk endlessly about the amount of pull the Impala SS has. This is a sports car, so it does feature a powerful engine. I can also talk endlessly about the design of the car, the auto body work is amazing. Lastly I can talk endlessly about the ride.

Personally I won’t be investing any time or money fixing this annoying problem for the next few months. The reason why the car squeaks is because it is restricted. This can be solved by getting a different air intake and filter.

If the amount of horsepower is still not enough for you, you can get 26 more from K&N performance for a price of $150. To end this review one needs to understand that all cars have faults. There is not a single car every produced that didn’t have a problem here or there.

It is really difficult to name one make and model that comes problem free. Cars have problems with their radiators, engines, pumps and wires. One thing for sure is that these problems are corrected over the years.

From what i heard, the average fuel efficiency of a companies fleet must be 35 mpg, but does this only apply to cars or to trucks as well, and does this mean low mpg cars will still exist as sports cars or no?

Looking for lasting and reliable transportation without spending tons of money? Scooter maintenance is necessary in accomplishing your goal. Just like you keep up with the maintenance of your car or house, preventative maintenance done on your scooter will also prove to be very beneficial.

Checking your oil levels and change it regularly is one of the most important steps in maintaining your scooter. Changing your oil is very easy, takes about 5 minutes, and cost less than $5. Your owners manual will suggest the proper procedure for your scooter. Also recommended is changing your transmission oil every 6 months or 2000 miles.

Having proper tire pressure is very important in preventing accidents and prolonging the use of your tires. Checking your tire pressure is easy to do and should be done regularly. It is also a good idea to check for cracks in the value stem and extensive wear in your tires. Do not risk driving your moped with bad tires, your safety is more important.

One maintenance item many scooter riders ignore is checking the integrity of the frame. Check all hinges, joints, and quick releases and correct any problems before riding again. Your owners manual will provide ideas in what to check. Even though the maintenance schedule states to check bolt tightness every 6 months or 1000 miles, it is certainly a good idea to do it more frequently.

As far as changing your transmission or motor oils, spark plugs, air filters, etc., your owner manual will provide suggested maintenance schedule. Since some specific maintenance on scooters vary from scooter to scooter, check the owner manual for your scooter. By doing a little scooter maintenance regularly. you can avoid expensive repair or replacement cost and prolong your scooter experience.

Can dirt cheap auto insurance actually be found today? This is a very common question and the answer is a good one. Yes, you can find cheap auto insurance if you know what you are doing. Although it may seem very difficult to find car insurance that is on the cheap side, if you follow a few important tips you can easily reduce the amount of money that you are paying on your car insurance premiums.

Seeking many different quotes from auto insurance companies is important. This used to be difficult to achieve. However, today it is easy with the internet, making it easy to get quotes from many different companies quickly. This allows you to look at various quotes so you can find dirt cheap auto insurance that will provide you with the coverage that you need for a good deal.

The number of miles per year that you drive your car also factors into your insurance costs. For example, if you only drive a car 4,000 miles per year your insurance coverage can be adjusted to a lower amount. This is because your are spending very little time on the road and that means the odds of getting into an accident are far less than someone who drives 10,000 miles a year or more.

Where do you park your vehicle for the evening? This can also affect what you are paying on your car insurance. Parking it in a community that is gated or in a good garage can help you save. When your vehicle is in an area that is protected, it is less likely to be stolen or accidentally hit out on the street. This reduction in risk transfers into savings on your insurance policy, allowing you to get the dirt cheap car insurance that you are looking for.

How you actually drive is also a major factor in keeping your insurance premiums low. If you are a person that racks up speeding tickets and moving violations, you will discover your car insurance premiums steadily climbing. Conversely, if you are a safe driver you may get a bonus discount. Some providers will offer discounts to those who enroll in defensive driving courses. The bottom line here is it is best to remain a careful driver. It will not only maintain your personal safety, it will keep your insurance premiums low.

Bringing together different insurance plans can save you money. If you have three vehicles and you put them under one policy, you can save. It’s much cheaper than going with separate policies for each of the vehicles. Combining together home insurance and your auto insurance can bring you savings as well. Companies are vying for your business and try to give good discounts to keep you with their company. You can get cheap auto insurance when you combine policies together with one company.

Is a car alarm installed in your vehicle? Many people already have these alarms built in by the manufacturer. In many cases these alarms can get you a nice savings on your auto insurance. If you do have the alarm, make sure you let the company know since it can help you to save some money on the premium for your insurance.

How you pay your insurance can also be a factor in how much money you save. There are insurance providers that will offer a dirt cheap auto insurance discount if you pay the entire premium up front and in advance. Inquire about this when you receive an insurance quote. Most providers would love to receive full payment in advance and offering a discount is one way they can get their wish.

Before I begin to tell you my story, you should know that I am employed by a wholesaler who sells adult diapers (among other things). Part of my job is to deliver adult diapers to local charities; health clinics and hospices, so it is normal for me to have a few packs of adult diapers in the back of my minivan.

My father owns a beautifully restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible and he loves it more than life itself. Somehow, a few weeks ago, my kid brother was able to talk our father into loaning him that muscle car icon for a Sunday afternoon. My little brother picked up his girlfriend and came over to our home and we all piled into our minivan for a local excursion. Unfortunately my kid brother left the top down on the Camaro and – you guessed it – while we were gone it rained a torrent. We returned to find the floor of the vehicle submerged in over 4 inches of water. Right about then my Dad called to say that he was coming over for dinner and that he would be arriving in ten minutes.

My brother started scooping water with one of my daughter’s little beach pails when I realized that I had something better: Adult Diapers! I opened up a pack that I had in the trunk of my car and immersed them one-by-one into the small lake at the bottom of the vehicle. Magic! For those of you who don’t know, disposable adult diapers are filled with a special polymer that can absorb up to thirty times its own weight in water. Seeing it in action is breath-taking. The rate of absorption is absolutely jaw-dropping. Eight adult diapers are all it took to soak up almost all that water. Paper towels took care of the last little bit and three different hair dryers operated by three different people finished it up nicely, just before Dad arrived. Dad is still none the wiser concerning this incident, I think.

If you own a convertible, take a lesson from my family’s experience and keep your top up when traveling in the southern U.S. And if you are the type that likes to plan for contingencies, keep a few adult diapers tucked into a small dry space somewhere in your vehicle. If your woman finds these panties in your glove compartment, she might ask some embarrassing questions, but chances are, she won’t walk away in a huff.

I could understand a ferari maybe because its really fast and stuff and your more vulnerable to accidents.

But why so much for a sports car like a mustang? They arent that fast unless you beef then up with different performance parts.

A great question that I get asked on a regular basis. But to make this little game of hide and seek as stress-free as possible, I’m going to point you to 3 simple areas. Your car, your owners manual, and a great online resource to find not only the stock plug for your car, but every other spark plug that is available.

If I had my way, there would be a sticker under the hood of all my vehicles that lists the OE part numbers of every major component – light bulbs and paint color included. While we’re at it, a handy mechanic that lives under there and performs daily maintenance would be nice too. But as long as we don’t live in a perfect world, we have to go hunting for this stuff.

Some vehicle manufacturers have kindly put the OE spark plug part number, on a sticker no less, under the hood, complete with recommended gap settings. But, if you’re in the same boat as me, and 90% of the rest of the world, your next stop is your owner’s manual. Lost your owner’s manual? I’ve got one more resource for you – this one, you’re going to love!

Check out this cool tool at SparkPlugs.com – use the make/model/year lookup on the home page to find your vehicle. What magically appears on your screen is every spark plug available for your car by NGK, Denso, Bosch, Autolite, Champion, E3, Splitfire and Pulstar, complete with recommended gap settings. There will likely be some plugs that say something along the lines of “OE type or OE manufacturer”. If you know the brand the vehicle manufacturer put in your car, just find that brands plug with that handy label. Those are the stock plugs. All other plugs with that label are the stock equivalent in other brands.

Want more information on any of those plugs? Simply roll over the part number and the plug specs and image pop up on the left hand side. Click on the “more info” button and even more details come up. Looking for higher performance or gas mileage? After talking with some mechanics and spark plug techs we’ve learned 2 things.

#1- Never go down in quality. If the stock plugs on your vehicle are higher quality than standard nickel plugs, the vehicle manufacturer likely chose them for a reason. Some manufacturers are starting to see the advantages of using ‘high performance’ plugs. Others have had the spark plug manufacturer make that particular spark plug for your specific engine. Downgrading to a cheaper/inferior plug, though cheaper, could actually lower your engine’s performance, possibly even causing engine damage.

#2- Upgrading your plugs CAN increase your performance. Studies have shown that using this newer technology, such as iridium and fine wire plugs, can actually increase a vehicles gas mileage, horsepower and performance.

How can you tell what would be an upgrade vs. a downgrade? According to SparkPlugs.com, the list of available plugs is categorized according to a variety of factors that affect a plugs performance, resulting in a “good, better and best” sort of ranking, with the best plugs starting at the top. With the information they’ve provided, it helps guys like us to find the best quality for the best price, and allow our little cars to keep pluggin along (no pun intended). Happy Tuning!

Here are some tips for buying a new car. The economy is on the skids but if you still have a little cash to spend, it could be good news for you. There has never been a better time to get a great deal on a car.

Buying a car is always a big deal and you don’t want to get it wrong. If the car is cheap, but not what you need, it’s not a good deal. This is not a decision to rush into now and regret later.

Like anyone else, the dealers are feeling the pinch, and they need to move cars. But they are not giving them away. They need to make the most of every deal. This means an opportunity for you, but also possible pitfalls.

Easiest Car Buying Tips

1. You need to shop between August and November if you want the newly released models. There will probably be few buyers around this year and good deals available.

2. Prepare for the salesman’s influencing tactics. If he is too pushy, you can leave. Plenty of other dealers will be happy to see you.

3. Hold out for a better deal. The prices may have been cut, but is what’s on show their best offer? They may have something in reserve to clinch the deal.

4. Is there a better deal online? Internet businesses still have lower overheads than bricks and mortar dealers. Do some research.

5. There is always room for negotiation. If they can’t lower the price any more, what can they throw in to sweeten the pot?

6. Most potential buyers will be weekend shoppers. If you can go in the week, you will get better attention. And it’s hard for them to negotiate tough when you are the only person on the lot.

7. Go to a car dealer near the end of the month. They will be trying to reach their monthly sales quota. They might need you to buy now rather than next week, and make it worth your while.

8. If you have little knowledge of cars, it pays to take someone with you. Some auto associations provide car inspection services. At least take someone with experience of the dealers persuasion tactics.

9. There is no need to rush a big decision like this. If a great deal ends today, another one will start tomorrow. If not with this dealer, then with another one.

10. Enjoy it. It’s fun looking for a new car. Get behind the wheel of a few and take a few test drives. Make the most of the experience. Why not take out an ATV before you decide on your little runaround.

Keep these tips in mind and get the best deal on your new car.
