I think the V6 counterparts are a complete joke and should have never been made in the 1st place and that whoever thought up making those sports cars with V6 engines instead V8s should burn in hell for making them available to people for a good price who really wanted that V8 power instead. If those V6 models were never available, then people wouldn’t get a car they never truly wanted.
IT’S A SPORTS CAR FOR GOD’S SAKE. UNLESS IT’S GOT THAT V8 BURNOUT POWER, IT DOESN’T DESERVE TO BE CALLED A “SPORTS CAR”.

I think the speed limit is 70 or so
why the heck do people need cars that go 300MPH and get half the gas mileage
????????????

A V-6 Mustang, Camaro, or Firebird is a waste of space. If people want to buy something that lame then to each their own, but if you’re gonna buy something with a V-6, might as well get a decent V-6 car, like an Infinity or something. Otherwise, only a V-8 will do in a Stanger.

If it has a V8, it might be a mussle car but not a sports car. The MGB Fiat 1600 and the Sunbeam Alpine are sports cars.
Sports cars do not have big engines. They are for enjoyment in driving. Mussle cars (Hot Rods) Race cars and dragsters need big engines. Not True Sports Cars.

i drive a camaro and i love it! i don’t know if i would ever go with a v6 or not i love to feel the power of my engine when i rev it up, although a v6 model of sports car would be more for women who want that sexy sleek look of the sports car, but can’t handle the power of one. I personally can handle the power of the v8 and i doubt i would ever go with the v6 model, however it is a cheaper car, and it still has the nice sleek look. I imagine people who go for the car more on looks than performance would go for the v6 versus the v8 i guess its all really just a matter of opinion.

I heard that the V6 Mustang is underpowered. It probably goes the same for the Camaro and Firebird. The V8′s are supposed to be more reliable and still get almost the same gas mileage and go a lot faster than V6.

WELL THATS WHY V8 WERE CALLED MUSCLE CARS
AND V6 WERE CALLED PONY CARS.

Well for the young driver who wants a sporty car with good mileage and lower insurance rates, then the 4cyl/v6 cars are ok for that.
Now personally, I would not have one that wasn’t a V8 (except for maybe an SVO Mustang).

yeah i wouldnt really call it a sports car more of a muscle car i think that it was just to market to people who like the look of those cars but dont want to have such high insurance but none the less i love the roar of my ls1 haha

What about the fact that all these cars were offered with a small four cylinder engine. Granted this was back in the early 80s. What would these cars have been called?
